The following report was sent into our website by Kerri on Dec 7, 2012:
“When I was about 4 years old my Granny had passed away. I was really young at the time so I don’t think I really understood that she was dead. Every once in a while I would have a really disturbing dream about my Granny. After a while the dreams stopped. For a few years I didn’t really think of her much and she was never brought up. One night I woke up to go to the bathroom. The bathroom is across the hall completely opposite of my bedroom. I walked down the hall towards the bathroom. To the left of the bathroom there is a landing and a staircase that leads to downstairs. I saw somebody standing on the stairs staring at me. Both my daddy and my sister had huge round glasses at the time so I assumed it was one of them going downstairs. I kept saying “daddy?” but the figure was just staring at me. I remembered pinching myself and rubbing my eyes thinking I was just tired and it was just my vision playing tricks on me but there was clearly something in front of me. I kept calling my sister’s name and then my daddy’s. I couldn’t figure out why they weren’t responding. I wasn’t just going to the bathroom without getting an answer because this was bizarre. I reached over the railing of the staircase and swiped my hand through the air. I’m not going to pretend that I felt like the air was cold because I honestly don’t remember but when I took a step back that figure was still there. I didn’t really think anything of it – I just assumed my eyes were playing tricks on me and I went to the bathroom. When I came back the figure wasn’t there.
The next day I asked my sister if she got up in the middle of the night and she told me no. I told her that something that looked like it had round glasses just like her or my daddy was standing on the stairs and not responding to me. My parents of course thought that it was just me being tired but my sister said that it sounded a lot like my Granny that I was describing. When I really thought about it that did make sense to me. I still wonder to this day if it actually was my Granny that I saw that night.”
