Collingwood Ghosts: The Radio Wasn’t Plugged In

Collingwood ghosts haunted paranormal

Location: Collingwood, Ontario, Canada

Ghost report from Shelby on April 9, 2015:

“I was 14 years old and living with my nana. My grandpa had passed away four years prior to this incident.

I was home alone and my nana was at work. I was in the basement watching TV until a little while after she had left, when I decided to go upstairs and watch TV instead.

I got upstairs and settled down on the couch. I grabbed the remote control and the moment I turned the TV on this loud, ear-splitting, blood-curdling static noise blared out. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me where it was coming from. I played with the TV and wires attached to the TV thinking it was coming from the TV. No success.

I started getting a headache and as I was walking past the stairs to go to the washroom to get Advil, I realized it was coming from the basement. I then turned and slowly began to walk down the stairs. The static noise got louder and louder . I followed the noise, my head pounding at this point, until I got to this little radio on the floor beside my grandpa’s recliner. The freaky part? It wasn’t even plugged in. I hit it a few times and then it finally stopped. It didn’t ever happen again after that.

Honestly, I would like to believe that it was my Grandpa saying hi from beyond the grave, but I can’t. Ever since I was very young, way before my grandpa passed, I always got an uneasy feeling when I would go down there and still do to this day. I believe it was something else, I don’t know what, but I will never forget that noise.”

Singhampton Ghosts: Poltergeist in New House

Location: Singhampton, Ontario, Canada

The following report was sent into our website by Odette on Aug 21, 2014:

“We moved into our home approximately 2 years ago. After being in it only a few days we heard a horrible crash as if a large mirror had fallen off the wall. We looked everywhere and could find nothing. This happened on more than one occasion.

Doors sound like they are opening or closing, but they aren’t.

One night I was in my room and watching tv in bed. From my bed I can see a small portion of the hallway and stairs. On this occasion while watching the television, the bathroom light in the hall turned on. I thought nothing of it as another person was at home. Shortly after that the radio in that bathroom went on. It was very loud. I was a bit upset as I could no longer hear my tv. I looked out into the hall and saw what I thought was the other person in the house going by my room toward their bedroom. I was angry and turned off my tv. Approximately 5 minutes later the other person in the home came up from the main floor wondering why the radio was blaring. I was shocked. We have no explanation for this.

Other people have seen shadow people, heard military drums, babies crying etc.

This is not an old home and the people who lived in this house before us saw and heard nothing. We can’t understand what’s going on.”

UPDATE sent into our website by Odette on Dec 21, 2014:

“I have written before about my home in Singhampton. We have been having a lot of unexplainable things happen since we moved into this house. Among them is doors shaking and opening, men talking as if having a discussion, and last but not least my other half was sitting at the kitchen bar and heard a male voice calling my name. He checked with the other male in the home and he knew nothing of this, but was not surprised as the events are not frequent, but constant.

We back on to Little Beaver river and Indians use to camp along the shores. That is the only reason I can come up with for the events taking place.

The house has only had one other owner which also constructed the home. They never had anything strange happen. It all started when we moved in. At first we tried to give everything a reasonable explanation, but as time went on we ran out of excuses.

So far we have seen shadows in the shape of people, slamming doors, voices and loud noises, such as the sound of mirrors smashing or drums being hit. I welcome anyone who knows what they are doing to investigate here. I would love to know what it is. If there is a reasonable explanation I would be comforted to hear it. In the mean time a friend would like to use a ouji to see if she can contact someone. Not sure I believe in such things. At this point no one will stay here on their own. It’s not threatening, just a bit scary. I will keep you updated.”

UPDATE sent into our website by Odette on Oct 11, 2016:

“A while ago I related the details of the mysterious happenings in my home. Shortly after I did, everything became quite quiet. No voices, noises or shadows. About a month ago it started again. House hold members hearing voices and seeing shadow people moving through the house. I thought they had all left, but I guess they were just on vacation. My other half and myself brought out a tape recorder a few weeks ago after going to bed. I asked a few questions and paused in between, allowing response time. Son of a gun, you can hear me asking a question and you can hear a man replying. It was more than a one word reply. No one can quite make it out. We are going to try again shortly. I’ll let you know what happens.”
