“I was driving home late one night with my roommate, he was sleeping. I was traveling up Nevada Ave going towards Cheyenne Mtn Blvd. I was going up the overpass when I noticed a man standing on the side of the road. He was an older man, had a beard, he looked like an old time miner. I immediately stopped my car right there in the road and got out. The man was not there. If that had been a person standing there, they would have still been there. The only way to get away would be to jump off of the overpass.
When I got back in the car, my room-mate woke up and asked me what I was doing. I told him that I saw someone standing on the side of the road. We talked about it the next day, and then I kind of forgot about the experience.
Years later, it was near Halloween and the paper had a story about the local ghosts in the area. There was a report of a miner that people had reported seeing in the area that I had seen the man. I guess that he died in the area somehow. I got chills because I remembered that night.”
