Ghost report from Bernice on February 22, 2015:
“I had just come home to my one bedroom apartment. I had a very set routine after working my night shift. I would always lock the door as soon as I entered , wash up, then go to bed and right to sleep.
This particular day I had just got comfortable in bed and I heard the front door open and close, I was suddenly wide awake. I was scared someone had broken in and I didn’t know what to do, I pretended to be asleep. I heard very heavy foot steps coming into my bedroom. I had my back to the door and thought if I didn’t move who ever it was would leave me alone.
I felt pressure on the mattress as if a large weight sat down on it. After a time nothing happened, so I got the courage to slowly roll over to see who was there. I move very slowly, praying silently that everything would be all right.
Once I did that, I saw the room was empty. No one was on the bed. I jumped up and ran to the door. It was locked tight. I thought it was my imagination and went back to bed.
I was later told my uncle, who was a large man, had passed away that day. I am not sure what to make of that experience , nothing had happened like that before, or since.”
