The following report was sent into our website by Daniel on May 17, 2014:

“My wife and I booked a ghost tour of the Charleston Harbor; we’d already done a few in the city proper, even going to some of the most haunted buildings in the City. On our first visit, we went to the USS Yorktown. I’ve been going there since elementary school but I can’t go there without visiting the flight room…it’s required that I go sit in one of those chairs, usually on the outer row near the front and I’m deathly afraid of heights but I seem to know that ship like the back of my hand: everyone else gets lost but not me.

Anyway, we were touring the Harbor in a boat and I happened to glance up at the main deck of the ship and I spotted a black mass that I took to be a figure about 5’9″ or so moving about. I didn’t say anything because I figured that the tour guide was used to spooking people into seeing something. I know what I saw and it wasn’t a security guard. It was a full-bodied figure, a little shorter than me and I’m 6’2″ (according to the US Army).

It seemed to be checking something on the deck of the aircraft carrier; scared the living hell outta me. I nudged my wife and motioned for her to look but when we turned back… whatever it was wasn’t there anymore. I got the chills and I’ve been going to that ship since I was a kid and I’ve NEVER felt that way before…”
