The following report was sent into our website by Chris on Jan 13, 2014:
“I was in the bathroom on the grade 8 floor (highest floor) which is just down the hall to the right by the L.A.C computer lab. I went into the bathroom and did my business (keep in mind I was the only one in the bathroom). As I was about to leave the cubical I heard almost every stall open and close one by one (like in the ‘Paranormal Activity’ movies where the cupboards all open at once except the stalls opened and closed one by one). At first I thought, K some girl is trying to scare the living poops outta me. But when I got out of the stall, 2 more stalls opened and closed by itself and I went to go check if some girl was in one of the stalls. I opened each stall to see if a girl was hiding and no girl was in sight. At this point I was really scared. I quickly washed my hands and ran out of the bathroom. Ever since than I’ve never went to that bathroom alone.
My band teacher also told my band class and I a very creepy story. Apparently, my band teacher can see ghosts. He said back in the 90’s when the new part of the school was being built there was a little girl near the construction site. She was all alone playing by herself. Suddenly she tripped and fell into a ditch and died by breaking her neck. None of the workers ever noticed her and they built the school right over top of her corpse! (Which happened to be near the band room) Now every time we play, my band teacher says he can see her and that the little girl likes to stand at the end of the band room and listen to us play our musical pieces.”
Update from Mr M on February 12, 2017:
“I was reading about the Isaac Newton school story from Winnipeg, and about the new part of the school being built in the 90’s is false. It was built in the 1960’s.
I was a student there in the early 90’s and I don’t know about the little girl haunting near the music room but in the basement near the old art room does have some paranormal experiences. Once me and a friend were down there when no one else was there and you do see something race across to the stairway and also at the other end of the hallway the same thing.
But the best experience I had was when our teacher took some of us to an old book room in the basement and when you enter it , it says “watch for falling books”. And when we were there a book fell with a voice right behind the bang of the fall that sounded like they said “Johnny”. My friend picked up the book and it was an old yearbook from the 50’s and there’s a picture of a few students and one boy was circled. We weren’t sure if that was the boy who was circled but it creeped us out.
And another haunting in the school is in the old bathrooms in the basement where you can hear a faint voice and sometimes singing.”
