The following report was sent into our website by Emily on February 11, 2010:
“I never thought I would have the chance to come in close contact with an actual ghost. Usually when I go anywhere that is claimed to be haunted, nothing happens. But in the summer of 2008, I was unexpectedly invited to my friend’s old farmhouse for her birthday party, which apparently had been owned by her family for generations. She and everyone that had been there before, all said it was haunted. And they were right!
The house itself was in need of some renovations, with pealing wallpaper and creaky floorboards. The lights flickered whenever we started talking. We heard lots of strange noises, like someone knocking on the doors. At one point while we were using the Ouija board, I heard a noise that chilled me right to the bone. It was unlike anything I had heard before: like someone exhaling right next to my ear, but just different somehow. Just when I thought the weirdness was over, I happened to glance at my reflection in the kitchen window, and there behind me I saw this misty white figure no bigger than a child, which was said to be one of the ghosts in that old farmhouse. I stood in the doorway of the kitchen, and it moved through the hallway behind me.
I suppose it could have been anything, but I’m 99.9% positive that I had a legit paranormal experience at that place. And it was awesome!”
