True Ghost Story: Touched On the Shoulder

Location: Lowbanks, Ontario, Canada

The following report was sent into our website by MaryAnn on Sept 28, 2006:

“Let me start by saying that I live in a very old farm house. There is a room upstairs that just felt “wrong” — like you just shouldn’t go in there. The pipe from the wood stove goes right up through that room, but it was always very cold.

A friend of mine told me that a wind charm will discourage anything supernatural from staying in the room, so I hung a small wind chime in the corner. It took a few days, but the room is now very warm and feels like a “normal” room.

Not too long after this, my Mother and I were in the living room, when we heard LOUD banging from the basement! I thought it was my husband in the basement, hammering on the pipes for some odd reason, but then he came out of the bathroom! No one was in the basement to bang on anything.

*spooky*

There have been other odd occurences here, babies crying, touches on people’s shoulders, hearing our names called when we are alone in the house, lights flipping etc.

A few months ago, we found out that the son of the man who built this house died between the house and the barn, so I figure it’s old Mr. Firth saying hello!”
