The following report was sent into our website by Ryan on May 31, 2013:

“This just happened the other night, long after the rest of my family had gone to bed. I had stayed up to read, and at around 2am decided to finally go to bed. I brushed my teeth, changed, etc. and finally threw over the covers to my bed and sat down, marking the page in my book where I left off and setting it down on my bedside table (which is attached to the bed itself, held by screws). I’ve had this bed for a few years and it’s very sturdy.

After setting my book down, the entire bedside table broke off and fell forwards onto the ground causing my book, glasses, and bedside lamp to fall down. In the split second this happened, the lamp (which was on) flickered on and off with an unnatural white-blue light. And I saw, in the centre of my room, a black mass, not very big, somewhat standing there before the lamp went out for good. Surprising even myself, I sat there for a few seconds in the darkness before jumping up and running into the hallway to meet my parents, who also heard the noise.

Upon inspection, the lamp remains plugged in, the bulb screwed in and not broken. However when I try to turn the light on, it remains dark. The back of the bedside table also has strange scratch marks at the bottom. How I still sleep in my room baffles me.”

“When I was about 10 or 11 yrs old, I lived on Embassy Avenue. It was an old neighborhood and rather creepy as well. During my days there I used to love watching horror movies late at night. But it seemed that every time I watched a horror movie, there was something watching me. This dark feeling came mainly from my hallway which was close by my TV. But that wasn’t what scared me. What scared me was what would happen at night after these movies.

At about 2AM every night that I had watched a horror movie there would be a dark figure that would come into my room and find a new way to scare me every time. Whether it took form of scary characters from my movies or a shadow in the corner growling at me it always caused me to flee from my room and into my parents’ bedroom.

Then later on, one day, I was home alone after school, so there was still light out. And I had decided that I needed a cup of tea. So I set off to make my tea, prepared my mug and turned the kettle on. When the water was hot I began to pour the water into my mug. And when it was halfway full my mug, very quickly, flew up about 30cm and smashed back on to my counter as if someone grabbed it, picked it up, and hit it against my counter. First I was in denial, thinking I had lost my mind. But then I saw that my mug was chipped on the bottom and my tea was leaking out. Of course this had me completely panicked resulting in me fleeing my home to a friend’s house.

Every now and then something would happen, whether it was growling and grunting, to things being missing, to cabinets being open for no reason. It wasn’t a great experience.

Now that I don’t live there anymore, these experiences are just memories.”

The following report was sent into our website by Sandra on Feb 9, 2012:

“My sister, her husband and two teenage sons were sitting at the dinner table one night having supper when something caught her older son and husband’s eye. They both looked terrified, and her older son left the table. Her husband got up and went outside for a cigarette. She asked her husband what had happened and he said a bright ball of light passed through the hallway and he saw a woman in a black dress with a her hair up in a bun glide by – she had no feet. He was very upset.

She went to see if her older son was alright. Fortunately her other son did not see this. Her older son was very upset and didn’t want to talk about it. She told him it was okay and that he could tell her. He told her that he had seen a woman in a black dress, with her hair pulled back in a bun and that she had no feet. And then he did not want to talk about it anymore.

She heard shuffling sounds in her bedroom at night and someone pulled her hair. No one was there. She would get tapped on the shoulder, gadgets like cameras or children’s toys would turn on and off by themselves, and she was always being tapped or having her hair pulled.

A few months later her husband became very abusive and was arrested. To this day, we believe that someone was trying to warn her about her husband.”
