Ghost report by Marisa on February 12, 2015:

“In 2004, my husband and I were traveling south bound on Townline Rd. Approximately 2000 feet before we got to the end of the road I saw something that still to this day gives me a chill.

What I saw was a train crossing the road, which made no sense since there isn’t any tracks there. I could actually see what looked like people sitting in seats facing each other. Not only did I witness people, but there was a light on in the train that flickered as it went by us quickly.

I was so shocked at what I saw that I was speechless. I debated whether I should mention what I saw to my husband. Why did he not say anything to me about it I wondered. I have to say something even though I know he will think I am crazy.

We are now at the T intersection when I turn to him and say “I just seen something really strange that you won’t believe and think I am nuts”. He cuts me off and says “What, the train that crossed the road?” I replied “Yes…oh my god you saw it, thank god you saw it. Did you see”… again he cuts me off and finishes the story exactly the way I saw it.

We talked about it all the way home, and we both tossed and turned all night. We decided never to tell anyone about this for fear they would think we were crazy.

Oh my god! Did we see a ghost train traveling in another dimension?”

Topsail Road – Haunted St. John’s Database

Ghost report by Ron on December 11, 2014:

“My brother had a fly tying kiosk in Sobey’s Square about the year 2000. And at the same time I had a cheap office on Kenmount Road, also for tying flies. One evening at dusk, I left my brother’s kiosk to go to my office. The best route is out Topsail Rd and up over Walton’s Mountain. Just up the road from the square, there is a school, Mary Queen of the World, I think — a school I had driven by a thousand times before. You know that feeling, just another place that you hardly take notice of.

As I approached it there was a cross walk, with someone starting to cross from my side of the road and to the school side. So I stop my car and let the person cross. When the person reached the sidewalk they simply vanished into thin air. There was nowhere for the person to hide, as there is just the huge parking lot for the school.

Kinda shocked, I looked to my right. And again another place one hardly notices, as ya pass by oh so many times, a graveyard. Just exactly before the graveyard there was (they are gone now) two concrete pillars, and a walkway going up through and between the two pillars. This is directly where the cross walk was, and still is today.

I never just seen the image, I reacted to it. I stopped for it and let it cross on the cross walk. I have always wondered – what the %$#^ did I see? It is one of those things in life ya never forget.”

St. Eustache Ghosts: Cursed Road and Cemetery

Location: St. Eustache, Manitoba, Canada

The following report was sent into our website by Shane on July 3, 2014:

“I grew up near the town of St. Eustache, north of Elie. There was a stretch of road between St. Eustache and the Baie St. Paul bridge that always gave me a weird feeling. There were rumors of a road ghost there or of some sort of curse. I could never get a clear answer as to the reason for the discomfort I felt along that stretch of highway as a child. I would write this off if it were not for two things which happened in the last few years.

When I returned home from college I found myself driving down the road at about two in the morning, and I felt the hair on my neck stand on end. I did not see anything – but I was more afraid than I had been in years. Again, I admit, it could have been my imagination. However, I found it odd that a year or so later I was driving through the area with a friend who was visiting the province. We had been driving around all day and were chatting as we came up to the turn-off to St. Eustache, the spot where the atmosphere had changed before. She stopped speaking mid-sentence and pulled out her rosary – she is a devout catholic – and would not let me speak till we passed the bridge into Baie St. Paul.

She knew nothing of my discomfort in that place, but said it felt darker there. This was the sense I had when I had been there a year before.

Lastly – back when I was in high school, a friend and I were biking by St. Paul’s cemetery around midnight during harvest time, and we saw multiple small lights moving about the graves. We were planning to camp nearby, but we kept moving till the church was out of sight.

I am curious if anyone else has experienced anything like these two incidences while in the area.”

Vancouver Ghosts: Shadow Figure Manifests On Sidewalk

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

The following report was sent into our website by Jag on April 17, 2005:

“Once around 5 years ago, at about 11 at night, I was walking home from work. This particular street had no streetlights, so it was pitch black. Then from a distance (around 50 feet away) I saw a black shape, the size of a human, but all black, just float into the middle of the sidewalk staring right at me.

This is weird cause it was pitch black already, and this black figure was darker. When I saw this, I got a shock in my body. I was scared, I just stared at it for about a minute, hoping it would go away. But it didn’t, so I just turned around and walked the other way really fast. I always kept thinking that it reminded me of the grim reaper.”
